How does it work?
Your phone is the key to your room. You use the Maasvallei app to unlock your door. You will have to register your phone to be able to use it as a key.
How do I register my phone to be able to use it as a door key?
Two weeks prior to your arrival you will receive an email to register your phone to enter the building.
How do I open the lock/ knob?
The lock does not open automatically you have to turn the black knob to the right or left. Depending if the lock is on the left or right of the door.

Can I access my room for the first time outside office hours?
From the day your rental period starts you can access your room day and night. So you will not have to check-in and can open your door at any time you arrive.
Do I need an internet connection to open my door?
No, you do not have to be connected to the internet to open your door. If internet is very limited you can also switch to "flight modus" to open your door.
How do I know the dates that I have access to my room?
On the main page of your building you find the button "My keys". Here you can see from when till when you have access. This information is only visible once your phone is registered.

My phone ran out of battery (charger).
You can not enter your building if your phone is turned off or is empty. Please charge your phone.
Can I buy a new phone and register this phone?
Yes at any time you can register a new phone via the registration page in the app for your building. The last device on which you register is the one that will work. you can register only ONE device.
Can I change the SIM card in the phone?
Yes, you can change the SIM card, your phone will still work as the key. So you can register your phone when you are still in your own country and change the SIM card when in the Netherlands.
Can I get a second mobile key?
Yes via the KEY FRIENDS option in the MY KEYS section you can share a key with a neighbour or friend.
Is it safe?
All your information sent over the internet is encrypted. Besides encryption multiple other safety measures are used to make sure only people with a registered device can open a door.
What about privacy
We follow the guidelines as drawn up by our legal department together with specialized lawyers. Of course, these correspond to the GDRP guidelines.
